Ruglaze
Thoughtfully chosen Ru Ware and celadon pieces bring quiet color, balanced form, and a sense of ritual to tea tables and modern interiors.
Ruglaze brings the quiet beauty of Ru ware into contemporary living. Our carefully crafted pieces celebrate soft celadon glazes, considered proportions and subtle details—made to be enjoyed through tea rituals, thoughtful gifting and beautiful interiors.
Our Ru ware comes from Ruzhou, Henan, China, the historic home of Ru ceramics. Orders are dispatched from the Ruzhou production area, bringing contemporary pieces inspired by this tradition directly to customers around the world.
Some Ru ware develops fine lines in the glaze, a characteristic known as crackle or crazing. These do not necessarily mean the piece is broken. A structural crack, leak or chip, however, should be treated differently; stop using the piece and contact us.
No. Ruglaze offers contemporary Ru ware and celadon porcelain, not Song-dynasty antiques or archaeological artifacts. Each piece draws on a historic aesthetic tradition while remaining a modern work in its own right.
Not at all. Tea enthusiasts may be drawn to cups and teapots, while vases and decorative objects can be appreciated simply for their form, colour and presence in a room. Start with the piece that speaks to your own way of living.
Yes. Ruglaze offers international shipping worldwide, primarily by air to help reduce transit times. Delivery availability, costs and estimated arrival times depend on your destination and will be shown at checkout or in our shipping information.
Each piece is carefully secured and cushioned before dispatch, with protective outer packaging selected for its shape and components. If anything arrives damaged, please keep the original packaging and contact us so we can review the issue promptly.
A Ru ware piece offers more than a simple function. Its value may reflect the form, glazing process, skilled finishing, firing and careful selection of finished work. We aim to explain the actual making and details of each piece so you can decide what makes it meaningful to you.
